So we got Abigail a telephone rattle and though she hasn't quite figured out how to shake it on her own, she will grasp it in her hand. She kept putting it by her ear but then she'd move it just as we got ready to take a picture.

The other morning I went into Abigail's room and discovered that her crib travels had gotten more adventurous. She has become more and more scootchy in her sleep over the last few weeks but this was the furthest she had gotten and the most twisted, too.

So the sad news of the week is I had to go back to work. This has been harder than I expected but I am learning to cope. Abigail is with her Aunties and Grandma 2-3 days a week and with Daddy 2-3 days a week. We are lucky Boone works 12 hour shifts so he can be home with her and that his family lives local so she doesn't have to be with strangers...this being said...Mommy is still sad that it isn't her. When is the next break from school...? I am learning to value the time I do have with Abigail far more that is for sure.

Today we went and had pictures taken professionally of us as a family and Abigail. Little miss Abigail was very cooperative...lucky for us! Enjoy.

Look who's 2 months old

Abigail turned 2 months on Monday 8.7.06. She loves to smile, talk to us and hold her head up for short periods of time. She loves to watch the world around her especially fans and lights. She continues to amaze us as she becomes more aware and interactive with us and others.

Visiting Grampy and Gramy

This past week we went down to visit Gina's parents. We really enjoyed the cool weather and even Abigail seemed happy with the cooler weather. I guess she's a lot like her Mommy...cool weather is best. We spent some time in Monterey and ate the best clam chowder around. YUM! There is nothing like fresh seafood.Abigail getting to wear her warmer clothes...this was a first for her.
