Memorial Day

In Flanders Fields

In Flanders Fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,

That mark our place;
and in the sky

The larks, still bravely singing, fly

Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the dead.

Short days ago

We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,

Loved, and were loved, and now we lie?

In Flanders Fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:

To you from failing hands we throw

The torch; be yours to hold it high.

If ye break faith with us who die

We shall not sleep, though poppies grow

in Flanders Fields.

~Lt.-Col. John McCrae (1872 - 1918)

Off To The Mall

My mom and I took the kiddos to the mall today
to get their pictures taken. These were my
favorites and of course the ones I brought home.

had the hardest time capturing one of Treston's
big grins...we will keep trying)

Big Boy

I realize that you really can't compare kids
and you really can't compare girls to boys,
but boy oh boy is my boy a BIG boy.
Abigail has been petite since the day she was
born and NEVER had any baby chub or rolls
of extra padding. Treston on the other hand is
well equipped with chub and rolls. We had to
see the pediatrician today because of a rash on
Treston's face. They weighed him and he is
a whopping 12.6 lbs. He has gained 3 lbs. in
3 1/2 weeks. He has totally out grown 0-3 month
clothing for the most part. This is all new to us.
Abigail was in 0-3 months well into her 3rd month
of life. I realized today that his size 1 diapers are
just about to small as well...groan I have 2
packages still on hand. Ahh life with a girl and a boy is
fun and so very different one from the other.

Riotious Blooms

Just some of the reasons we love Springtime.
First blooms are always so welcome after
barren winter months.

Abigail and Treston

I figure these speak volumes all on their own.
Abigail loves Treston so much and keeps wanting
him to be able to do more with her. I can't wait
until he is more interactive because that will make
her day!

Singin' in the rain...

Just singin' in the rain.

Big big smiles for Mommy.

Abigail had to have her bear wrapped
like baby brother in his Moby Wrap.

Another Year Older

On Saturday we celebrated Boone's 36th B-Day
with his family and our friend Nancy from next
door.

Today is Boone's actual birthday so Abigail felt
we needed to sing to him again. Hence b-day
french toast (that he made for all of us).
